Krishi Mahotsav-2012 highlights

• Assistance worth Rs.720 cr to 15.17 lakh farmers during 25 days
• 4400 Krishi Rath visited 225 taluka and 4397 village clusters and acquainted farmers with the scientific methods of farming
• 3.75 lakh kits for agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry distributed
• Farmers given assistance for purchasing 11,000 tractors and 34,000 rotavators
• CM interacted with over one crore farmers via video conference which he held almost everyday throughout the Mahotsav
• Around one lakh government officials, agro-scientists and experts visited villages to give helpful in formation about farming to the farmers

• Vaccination to40 lakh animals, 4.5 lakh animals treated for various diseases

Announcing the conclusion of state’s month-long agricultural fest ‘Krishi Mahotsav’ today Chief Minister Narendra Modi said the Krishi Mahotsav has become instrumental in giving a boost to the agriculture sector of the nation and in attracting accolade for the state’s green revolution.

The Chief Minister was talking to the farmers via video conferencing. Throughout the Krishi Mahotsav the Chief Minister interacted with around one crore farmers of the state via video conference, which he used to held almost every evening.

Chief Minister announced that an assistance of worth Rs.720 crore has been given to around 15.17 lakh famers in 25 days during this eighth Krishi Mahotsav. Assistance for purchasing 11,000 tractors and 34,00 rotavators was also given to the farmers during Krishi Mahotsav.

Chief Minister credited the success of Krishi Mahotsav to the lakhs of hard-working farmers and the faith they put on the state government.
